Subsidy

  • The subsidy is paid to parents on written application for the private co-payments of childcare costs.
  • Parents' subsidy is independent of income.
  • A subsidy is not granted if the amount of care is less than 15 hours per week or 65 hours per month
  • The calculation of the subsidy is limited to 35 hours per week or 152 hours per month
  • The subsidy amounts to 1/3 of the actually incurred additional costs of the pure childcare costs (without meal contribution) compared to the respective valid fee according to the statutes of the city of Oberursel (Taunus) on the levying of fees for the use of day care centres. There is no legal entitlement to funding.

Application documents

All parents with their main place of residence in Oberursel (Taunus) who have a child aged between one and twelve years looked after by a qualified childminder are eligible to apply.
The application must be submitted in writing, and the following documents must be enclosed with the application:

  • Copy of the childminder's licence
  • Contractual agreement on the co-payment to the day care worker as well as the scope of care.

Subsidy procedure

The subsidy is calculated on the basis of the monthly fees actually paid for the care.

The actual fees to be paid are to be proven by appropriate receipts:

  • Monthly invoices from the Hochtaunuskreis.
  • Invoices from the day care provider showing the private co-payments (excluding meal allowance contribution) on a monthly or annual basis.
  • Proof of payment actually made.
  • The subsidy is paid 1/4 annually after submission of the designated receipts.
  • The application form is available on the internet at www.oberursel.de/stadtleben/gesundheit-soziales/familien/ childcare/ or at the Town Hall.
  • The supporting documents can be submitted in writing or by e-mail.
  • In special cases, there is the possibility of a monthly payment.
