Multiple births programme

The state of Hesse has been supporting parents of multiple children (triplets and upwards) since 2000 with a one-off tax- and garnishment-free subsidy.

Parents of multiples with three or more children are entitled to a multiple child allowance.

• Have their residence or habitual abode in Hesse
• Have custody of the children and live with them in the same household
• Mainly bring up and care for the children themselves

Subsidy is independent of income.

Application

The special allowance should be applied for by the children's first birthday, if possible, so that the full amount can be granted.

The application documents can be requested from the Hessian State Chancellery in Wiesbaden or downloaded from the administrative portal of the State of Hesse.
